QI Start Edition
represents a QI system configuration on a special price, which covers, thanks to its structure, all the activities of the information system user related to management of a dynamic company and it also reduces the costs for purchase and subsequent operation of the information system.
Generally, the QI information system is designated for medium market segment. The QI Start Edition is the configuration is a QI system configuration that can be used either by small customers that appreciate primarily the possibility to take advantage of a large information system as well as the large customers for that the QI Start Edition is a springboard for an integrated implementation of the QI information system within their organization.

QI Start Edition
is designated for the organizations to work in the beginning with an advanced system
that consecutively saves a great amount of investment resources.
That is caused by the lack of need to change the information system
in case of its expansion for the organization using the QI Start Edition.
Subsequent expansion of the information system is not restricted;
it depends on the customer's needs.
The customer can not only increase the number of licenses
but also simply add other application functions by selecting requested functionality
from existing functions of QI information system.
The user can control the QI system by means of a standard client, working on Microsoft Windows operating systems, or via a web browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer). The access via the web browser is a part of the QI Start Edition; it is secured by the Internet Connector without need to further develop any special application for a secure access to the data.
Management of contemporary company also requires an up to date information system with integrated tool for fast system modification forced by process changes running inside and outside the company. That's the reason the QI Start Edition itself is designed to do the basic system modifications on a level of changes and creating new screen forms and print reports. These "hot" changes can be performed during run of the system without need to log out clients or restart of application or database server. This considerably reduces costs related to system modification by needs of the organization. If necessary, the QI Builder full-scale development environment can be at any time added to the system for system modification so that it could precisely simulate the organization structure and processes running within this organization.
The QI Start Edition configuration has been designed for operations with the MSDE (Microsoft Data Engine) that is provided as per Microsoft license policy by DC Concept company within QI Start Edition free of charge. As the MSDE is restricted in performance, QI is designed to allow the user, if the MSDE no more fits the needs, to switch to full-scale database system that has no restrictions in performance, the Microsoft SQL Server 2000. With the possibility to use the MSDE the user's investments are saved on implementation of the QI Start Edition for the organization.

The extent of QI Start Edition application functions covers sale, CRM, finance, bookkeeping and logistics. On design of QI Start Edition concept, the emphasis is given to the functionality generally known as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) for effective management, tracking and evaluation of business relations with customers.

FINANCIAL BOOKKEEPING |

FINANCIAL BOOKKEEPING module provides conditions for convenient processing of book documents. The link between book record and primary document provides not only their full mutual coherence. It also provides the accountant with a synoptic view of documents on that the book record was created.The charging can be done for several periods simultaneously - the period need not match the calendar year. A tool for definition of "Account Coding" has been added into QI Start Edition. It allows creating definitions of presumed bookkeeping relations e.g. for particular document types, goods types, particular stores, cash registers and others. On them, the system charges particular documents or their parts either fully or partially or it offers the less skilled operators the possibilities to charge prepared by bookkeeping methodic specialist. This tool saves time within production in great extent on creation of particular book records as well as reduces error rate on creation of book documents.

FINANCE |

The FINANCE module covers all activities related to the financial flows in the organization. It includes components for processing of receivables, liabilities, bank and cash register payments, bank account book or cash register book. The cash registers and accounts can be kept in various currencies. Part of this module make the functions for work with sales and purchase invoices, credit notes received and issued, advance payment notes received and issued as well as proforma invoices, receivables and liabilities taken over (e.g. from other, older information systems), received standard customs declarations, reminders, penalty invoices, cash receipt vouchers and cash issue vouchers, payment orders, bank statements and others. All documents can be either inland or foreign documents. They can be issued in various currencies. The e-banking as well as the link to VAT record and other related records is a matter of course.

PURCHASE AND SALE |

The PURCHASE AND SALE module is an essential tool for effective management of business processes of goods purchase and sale. When creating particular documents, we can use already existing documents and their content can gradually be switched to following documents. The integral document series can begin with sales quotations, then continue with sales orders (in writing, electronically or on-line via www), the delivery notes issued and warranty forms, sales invoices and received payments in the bank statement follow. Such a series can be created also on the side of reception. All documents can be created in various document series, currencies and languages. The print templates for all documents can be defined by user.On sale, almost unlimited number of possibilities for creation of prices, discounts and surcharges, companies can be assigned to dealer categories, markets, ...A broad record of companies only emphasizes the above-average properties and convenient use of the QI - first elastic information system.

CRM AND MARKETING |

The CRM AND MARKETING module complements already high standard possibilities of dealing with the business partners. As a bonus, the personal record is added to the QI Start Edition; it makes the dealing with contact persons of business partners perfect. Except for standard image of the person, a detailed information about particular persons can be kept, including family members, personal, telephone and e-mail connections, time structured notes up to personal profile and private anniversaries. These can also be tracked for particular companies; the congratulations can also be sent to them. An effective management tool is available for the dispatcher responsible for communication with the customers and coordination of tasks related to fulfillment of their requests. Overall overviews of requests with link to responsible employee tasks are available to any company. To enhance effectiveness of the marketing campaigns, the tools for market segmentation and company assignment to multiple segments simultaneously can be used. It is possible to record all activities related to business case management, including entire history. There is a complex view of financial and logistic documents related to particular business case, ... A very useful aid is the tool for preparation of marketing event recording management.

STOCK MANAGEMENT |

STOCK MANAGEMENT module is designated for overall management of tangible flows between particular stores that can be defined in unlimited quantity. It allows creation of statistics related to all goods transactions. On each store, the reception, transfers, distribution and stock level of goods can be tracked. To appreciate stock level, the FIFO or average stock price method can be used. Stock item database can include the trade goods, material for production, finished goods, semi-finished goods and others. By pressing one button, immediate overview of stock level for any stock item is accessible in value or in pieces; its decrease under limit can be tracked as well as blocked and reserved quantity and history of movements of all stock items (stock card). For selected goods, detailed tracking can be set for particular pieces, serial numbers and batches. It Simultaneously, the balance of the books and stocktaking can be done as well as creation of all necessary statistical overviews. As the documents are created, actual delay of financial flow behind material flow can be taken into account.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION |

Data access safety protects a sophisticated system of access permissions that can be set in the system for particular users or groups of users. The permissions apply to particular functions within the system (read, write, modify, delete) and to the data, i.e. to the data classes and their properties. The permissions can be set for selected sets of records - document series, stores, accounts and cash registers. To allow the QI Start Edition user try and use the entire QI system elasticity, also the functions for Modification and Creation of Form Variants as well as Modification and Creation of Print Reports, with that the user can modify or create new screen forms or print reports that can better conform his/her needs for work with the system are available.
